Off-Mic Workshops
In early 2024, Audible and Multitrack teamed up to launch a season of free workshops, offering training on a variety of different off-mic roles, delivered by experts and leading industry figures across the audio sector.
We were thrilled to receive almost 300 applications and to be able to offer workshop places to over 100 participants.
This is the place to see highlights from the first ever Audible x Multitrack Off Mic programme.

We hosted a mix of in person and remote sessions covering:
Sound design (x2 sessions)
Narrative documentary making
Audio drama directing
Audiobook production
Audio editing 101
Production management (x2 sessions)
You can look back the outlines for each session and see pictures from all the workshops, to get a taste of what participants got up to.
What people had had to say about Off Mic 2024…
Who were these workshops for?
These workshops were open to anyone aged over 18 and living the UK. But we especially encouraged applications from individuals across the UK that face barriers on entering the industry because they are:
Black, Asian or ethnically diverse applicants
LGBTQIA+
Those from lower socio-economic backgrounds
People with disabilities.
We looked for applications from people who want a pathway into the audio industry, and were hoping to develop their skills in production roles - so that’s any role other than being a presenter.
